The world can be an unfriendly and even dangerous place for Christians to live in.


According to the latest statistics some 388,000,000 Christians live under the threat of persecution for no other reason than being Christians. The number of countries that are considered hostile to Christianity has risen from 40 in 1993 to 73 today.


The believers in Thessalonica faced persecution as well and in this week’s text the apostle Paul is going to instruct them in how to respond to that persecution and, equally as important, how to develop a resilient faith that can endure hardship without breaking.


The question is this, what about you? Is your faith unbreakable?
