1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 | Expect the Unexpected
Pain is a powerful teacher. C.S. Lewis famously stated, "Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
In this week’s text we will consider the seven most painful years that will ever be in human history. The Scriptures refer to it as a season and an event known as the Day of the Lord.
It will be filled with judgment and wrath and yet, the book of Revelation says even then, most people will still not repent and believe in Jesus.
How about you? How are you responding, right now, to this impending reality that will come as a thief in the night?
