How it all started...
1867. 155 years. Six generations. What do all these numbers have in common? Breesport Baptist Church was established as a church plant from Horseheads First Baptist Church in 1867.
That means that we have existed as a local Bible believing, Gospel preaching church, for over 150 years now. That's six generations of ministry in this community.

Expanding the vision...
In 2011 the church voted to do a feasibility study on a new Youth and Education facility for our school. This included a gymnasium and classrooms for dual use - the church and Twin Tiers Christian Academy. TTCA started their winter session in the new building January 6, 2014.
The school has expanded its athletic program and made significant improvements in staff, facilities and technology since moving onto the new BBC campus. Learn more about TTCA

Where we are headed...
BEYOND - A FIVE YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN
We are already reaching 100-200 individuals on a weekly basis through the Livestream video casting of our Sunday morning services. A digital campus would allow us to minister to these souls in a more effective way. It would allow us to establish more formal relationships with them, to provide more support, and to allow them to be more connected to a more biblical form of community through online Life Groups, prayer and encouragement, thereby helping us to make more and better disciples of Christ.
It would also allow us to establish "micro campuses" throughout the region. These micro-campuses could be made up of 4-5 family units in a smaller town lacking a Biblical Gospel-centered church for them to attend. It could also be 10 residents at Bethany or Elcor or 10 inmates at the Chemung County Jail who cannot travel to church.
We have released our own smartphone app as one of the first steps towards better connecting with our online attendees. You can download the app in the Apple Store and the Google Playstore by searching for Breesport Baptist.
