1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 | Learning to Listen in a Noisy World

We live in a very noisy world. The problem, however, isn’t that it’s loud. It’s that it’s rarely quiet.

In fact, we’ve become so accustomed to noise that most people are uncomfortable with even short periods of silence.

That’s a problem if you, as a Christian, fill every moment of your waking life with some kind of noise and potentially drown out the voice of the Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul will wrap up his flurry of commands with five aimed at how the local church should relate to the Holy Spirit to ensure that it is being led by the Spirit of God to do the will of God and that it remains usable by God in the work of God.
