1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 | From Grief to Glory

Death is a constant reality. In fact, some 65 people died in the 50 seconds it took us to watch the intro video before the sermon. That’s 5000 human beings stepping into eternity every hour - hour after hour.

The result of that is innumerable tears, abounding grief, paralyzing confusion, and deep despair.

But not so for the Christ-follower. The apostle Paul assures us that there is a grand reunion coming. Jesus will step back into this reality and, with the cry of command, call us to “come up here!” And the dead in Christ will rise and we who are alive will join them.

Therefore, we should grieve, but not as those who have no hope.
