1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 | Called to Holiness

None of us remember learning to walk, and that’s a good thing because it was a painful process.

In one sense, walking seems the most natural thing in the world for a human to do and yet, it requires a difficult set of skills to master.

Learning to walk in practical holiness is a lot like that. In this week’s text the apostle Paul is going to tackle the sensitive subject of human sexual expression in order to encourage us toward greater degrees of practical holiness.

Given our nature and our culture, this can be a difficult and painful journey, but God’s grace enables us to keep getting back up in our pursuit of holiness.
