Money Can Buy Happiness. But it Can't Buy Purpose
Everyone knows that money can buy a lot of things and things tend to make us happy...for a season.
What money can’t buy, however, is purpose and God has wired every human being to need a sense of purpose. Without it we just drift from crisis to crisis, opportunity to opportunity, and circumstance to circumstance without any clear understanding of why we’re doing the things we’re doing. That lack of purpose robs the soul of meaning.
This week we will consider the life of the apostle Paul. He was a man driven by an intense sense of purpose and because of that he lived one of the most consequential lives in history. Money can certainly buy happiness, but it can’t buy purpose and purpose isn’t only better, it’s essential. So, what’s your “why”? What’s your purpose?
