You Are More Than Your Past

It's true to say that our past always contributes to our present. It’s how we got here. But in a world that contains the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it doesn’t have to dictate our future.

Far too many people, however, let their past define them and as a result, they tend to pass on their pain to others.

This week's lesson, that we hope all of you learn, is that you are more than your past. You are more than what others have done to you. You are more than what others have said about you. You are more than your worst day or your greatest mistake. You are who God says you are.

The apostle Peter says that if you are in Christ, you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. Regardless of your past, that's who you ARE.
