There are more than 600 commands in the Bible. Some say there are closer to 1000. But is that what the Christian life is really all about?
It just boils down to do this and don’t do that and that’s all God wants? No, it’s not.
He wants you. Simple do and don’t lists miss the point of a relationship with God altogether. It puts the cart ahead of the horse.
What we’ve been made for is His glory by loving Him and loving others. Without that, everything else is backwards and life will be incredibly frustrating. Loving Him and loving others is the hardest easy thing you’ll ever do.
