He is Risen!

Nearly two thousand years ago the most miraculous, captivating, transforming, and powerful event took place since creation itself. The Son of God and Son of Man, the Righteous One, the Holy One, the Crucified One rose from the dead.

The Cross of Good Friday was obviously necessary, but it would not have been sufficient to save sinners like us without the resurrection. The resurrection of the three-days dead Christ is the proof that His death was sufficient to satisfy the wrath of God against sin, to defeat the devil, to break the decisive power of sin in the heart of repentant sinners, and to provide eternal life to all who would believe in Him.

We gather on this most holy of days to celebrate all of that! Come let us rejoice! He is risen indeed!
