Jesus, the Priest at the Altar of Incense

The third and final piece of furniture in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle was the Altar of Incense.

This altar stood directly before the veil that separated man from God, and it represented the place where the priest would make intercession for the people.

We look upon it and see Jesus who is our high priest who ever lives to continually make intercession for us.

This Palm Sunday we will consider the incarnation and the cross, and how both worked together to perfectly outfit Jesus for His present ministry as the Great High Priest of the Church who is not ashamed of us and who is praying for us right now.
