All We Need is Love
Love is universally desired and frequently misunderstood. Many people believe that love is a feeling or perhaps a commitment to a person or an ideal, but the truest expression of love is always about sacrifice for the good of others.
In that sense the Cross of Christ becomes the greatest demonstration and expression of love that the world has ever known. As such, the love of God, as seen in the cross, becomes the standard of Christian love.
This week Paul will say that if we would just love one another we wouldn’t need any other laws or regulations because real love alone would be enough to promote that which is good, and to protect others from our own sinful desires. Therefore, this week we will consider the fact that, truly, all we really need is love.
