Sober Thinking - Healthy Service

Every born-again Christ-follower has been spiritually gifted for the purpose of glorifying God through the building up of the Church. That’s a big statement that conveys a big truth.

If you know Jesus as your Savior, you have been divinely equipped for spiritual service and that service is designed to grow and strengthen your local church. The execution of that can go very wrong when people don’t know how they are gifted, when people don’t like the way they are gifted, or when people use their spiritual gifts for their own advancement and not for the good of others.

This week, the apostle Paul will tell us that one of the keys to healthy service is sober or clear thinking about our own role and place within a local church.
