In Pursuit of Big Vision

Vision can refer to many things. It might speak to one's ability to see and perceive the world around them. That's important. Life is hard to navigate without that kind of vision.

Vision can also refer to the ability to see a compelling view of the future and then articulate that in a motivating way so that it becomes the shared goal of a group of people. Life can become directionless and unintentional without that kind of vision.

Jesus, and the mission that He's given to His Church, presents us with a compelling vision for the future that is bigger than any one of us and that requires all of us to accomplish. The question is this, do we still have the courage to pursue such a big, bold, heroic, and sacrificial vision as the Gospel both demands and deserves?
