God at Work in the Periphery

We are all eyewitnesses to our own lives, but that doesn’t mean that we are neutral or impartial observers. We’re not. We all have desires, hopes, and expectations for how we think life is supposed to go and we interpret life through that multifaceted framework.

What if there was a God who was always at work accomplishing His divine purposes even when we couldn’t see it? That’s exactly the God that we serve. Paul is going to be very clear in our text this week to say that God is always working.

There is purpose in everything that He does and everything that He allows. There’s always more going on than we can see, therefore, we can have hope. Our eyes don’t always tell us everything we need to know, but the Word of God has given us everything we need to know to trust in Him.
