Jesus the Lampstand

Darkness is disorienting and dangerous. Anyone who has ever lost their sight, even temporarily, knows that. It’s so much harder to go through life in darkness rather than light.

In the Old Testament Tabernacle God provided light through the Lampstand so that the priest could make his way to God.

But now we see Jesus who is the light of the world. He is the clearest and brightest representation of the invisible God who not only shows us the way to God, but He also lights the path to a life that fully glorifies God so that we can shine as lights in the world.

The question is this, are you walking in the light of Christ so that you might dwell with God?
